Cultivated by smallholder farmers in the tropical heartland of Southeast Asia, Red Borneo is a standout in our range. Borneo is grown on the vast island of the same name, where rich volcanic soil and constant humidity produce some of the largest, most mature leaf available. Harvested late in the growth cycle as the central vein turns deep red, the mature leaf is then carefully dried to develop its characteristic red-vein character.

Once harvested, the leaves are dried and then milled to a fine, even powder with a smooth, consistent texture that blends easily and stores well. We package it promptly after milling and seal it to help protect its freshness, colour and aroma. It carries the heritage of the region it comes from, and remains a favourite among those who appreciate authentic, single-origin botanicals.
